How do I pay?

Many artworks can be purchased directly online, via card or by using Paypal. We also offer payment by invoice on request or for any artworks which cannot be directly added to cart. Once the availability of your artwork/s have been confirmed, we will email you an invoice with a delivery cost (if required) with details for direct debit. Alternatively you can call Art to Art to pay over the phone with your VISA, AMEX or Mastercard. International customers will be supplied with an invoice with international bank transfer details or credit card payment can be made over the phone. See our Payment Method in our Terms and Conditions for more info. Looking to pay in instalments? We’re partnered with Art Money, an interest free art-specific service allowing you to take your artwork home and pay for it later.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes we do. And what could be a better present than the gift of art, especially when they can choose it themselves. Click here to arrange for a personalised Gift Voucher to be sent to that someone special in your life. Group vouchers can be easily facilitated. Contact us here.

Does the price include delivery?

For customers within Australia, shipping is calculated at checkout and is additional to the artwork price. For international customers, our checkout will not return the correct shipping price, and we will need to provide a custom quote. We want your new artwork to arrive safely so we use professional and experienced art handlers and couriers. For any works that cannot be purchased directly online, simply contact us to supply your address and mobile details and we can supply an accurate cost to you within 24 hours. See our Delivery Terms for more info.

When can I expect delivery?

Usually, from the day you order and payment has been received, you can expect to be showing off your new artwork in around 7 - 21 business days, depending on your location. We aim to get artworks packed and dispatched 1-3 business days from purchase. See our Delivery Terms for more info.

Will the artwork look the same as online – will the colours be the same?

We work hard to make sure we represent the artworks as accurately as possible on our website, however some colours and details cannot be perfectly captured by photo. Variations in the way colour is processed by your computer monitor may also affect the accuracy of our images. Mostly you will be pleasantly surprised as the richness in oils and acrylics will be more intense and vibrant. If for some reason you are not happy with what you have selected, will give your money back. Please see our 100% Happiness Guarantee and General Conditions.

Is art a good investment?

Most art will appreciate over time depending if you are planning on selling it and when. At Art to Art, we believe if you get enjoyment out of seeing your art then that is the ultimate investment. Art is to be enjoyed and appreciated as we believe the artist intended.

Where can I sell my Aboriginal paintings?

As an Australian art gallery, we’re proud to represent the works of Aboriginal artists. If you are an Aboriginal artist, use our online form to submit your art for consideration or get in touch with our team for more information.

If you own an original Aboriginal painting and have decided the artwork you own just does not fit with your interior or lifestyle anymore, consider selling via our Secondary Art Market. We help to review your submission so our Art Lovers have confidence of the second-hand pieces they buy through us.

Submit your secondary Aboriginal art for selling here now.

How can you tell if an Aboriginal artwork is real?

If you are unable to determine the Aboriginal artist and year the art was produced, those are major red flags to look out for. However, fake Aboriginal art is sold everywhere around the world, making it harder for genuine buyers to distinguish between real and fake.

At Art to Art, we have worked directly with several Aboriginal artists, and have hence built trust within the art community here in Australia. All our Aboriginal art has been carefully reviewed, curated and authenticated before we put them up for sale.

The Indigenous Art Code can also help you with identifying the artwork’s community of origin.

What are the 3 types of Aboriginal art?

There are actually more than 3 types!

The creativity of aboriginal artists has created a wide variety of styles that showcase their long history and rich culture. From widely recognised dot painting, to natural ochre style, cross-hatching on bark and canvases, Wandjinas in the Kimberley region, and a more modern but increasingly popular bush medicine leaves style. Aboriginal artists are exploring a wide range of traditional and modern artistic expressions.

Explore our artists and their collections to discover the beauty of each style for yourself.

Who are the best Aboriginal artists to buy?

At Art to Art we know how subjective art is, and how important it is to find a piece you personally love. If you’re looking for somewhere to start, well renowned artists within the community include Minnie Pwerle, Warlimpirrnga Tjapaltjarri and Emily Kame Kngwarreye. They’ve paved the way for many of our young Aboriginal artists and helped the industry recognise the value of Aboriginal art. At Art to Art we’ve represented the stunning works of Rosemary Bird Mpetyane, Rachael Stevens, Beverly Cameron, Betty Mbitjana and Debra Nangala McDonald, Kudditji Kngwarreye and more.
