REK

REK is a wildlife artist based in Brisbane, Queensland. His fusion style artwork focusses heavily on the avian world and responds directly to the threat faced by wildlife through loss of habitat and human interference.

The beauty and intricate details found in the natural world in particular native and exotic birdlife, are his key focus. Delicate natural elements are often married against patterned fabrics creating a unique interplay between the painted subject and printed backdrop.
