With post-graduate studies in media, and a Diploma of Art, Susan Trigg spent a number of years ranging across the broad field of visual arts, before settling on what she thought would be her life’s passion, photography. After spending some years as a full-time contributing photographer to a major stock photography company, Susan gradually morphed her work into digital art incorporating her photography. When she reached the point where this no longer satisfied her creative vision, Susan reached full circle and returned to her first love of painting. “Painting is one of those rare journeys that you can never fully complete. Once you reach one milestone, you realise there is another just out of reach, and so it goes on.”
Susan Trigg is inspired by our interior experience, and by the incredible beauty of nature. As you’d expect from someone who has studied psychology, literature, media and art, she finds it limiting to paint in one recognisable style, but her work sits somewhere between abstract expressionism and abstract landscape.
