Prue Clay feels the hum of the landscapes she paints. Born and raised on a farm in rural Barham, in the New South Wales Riverina, she has always felt connected to the land. From the mountains of Tasmania, to the bays of Queensland, her practice today draws on observation and memory to create emotionally-rich, abstracted landscapes. Through her unique appreciation of depth and light, Prue takes the viewer to a place which is both vividly photographic, and deeply imaginative.
