We are delighted to announce our inaugural Unearthed Art Prize with the aim to give new, up-and-coming artists an opportunity to join our stables and to develop their passion and career in the arts industry. 26 artists will be shortlisted for display at our gallery, with the winner being selected by our experienced Art to Art artists! A People’s Choice award winner will also be invited to display an additional 3 works for sale at our following Pop-Up Gallery.

Our aim is to give new up-and-coming artists the ultimate platform to develop their passion and career in the arts sector. Shortlisted finalists will benefit from exhibiting, selling and showcasing their work to art critics and buyers alike at our February Pop-Up Gallery in 2020.


Main Prize: chosen by our experienced and passionate Art to Art artists, the winner of the Unearthed Art Prize will be invited to join our stable of talented artists, with ongoing opportunities to exhibit their works in Art to Art Gallery events and be featured in advertising and newsletters.

Peoples Choice Prize: Voted for by our audience and visitors to the gallery, the People’s Choice winner will be given the opportunity to showcase a selection of 3 additional artworks at our following Pop-Up Gallery.

How to Enter?

To enter, fill out the attached form detailing up to two artworks you would like to enter.

Artworks must be:
• 61 x 51 cm, (24" x 20") landscape-oriented. Here's a link to purchase a canvas. Click here.
• Original Unframed artwork on stretched canvas, ready to hang
• Signed on front or back (your choice)
• Dated and Titled on back of work

Subject matter and medium (oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolour, mixed media etc.) is up to you, express yourself and show us your style! An artist may submit no more than 2 artworks for consideration.

Shortlisted artworks will be available for sale at our February Pop-Up exhibition until the closing date for $500 each with $350 going to the artist. There is no entry fee however shorlisted artworks will be framed for presentation in a raw Tassie oak shadow-box frame, at a cost of $150. If you are chosen, an invoice for the frame cost will be forwarded to you for payment.

What is the criteria?

To enter you must be living in Australia and not have any current physical gallery representation in Victoria. Online representation is acceptable. There is no restriction regarding age, training or nationality. It’s open to artists with all levels of experience. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your work with our art loving audience and potentially be a part of our growing art community.

About the Prizes:

Once the winner has been announced, you will be emailed our Terms of Engagement. If agreeable, together we’ll decide on a body of works (4-6 pieces for the Emerging Art Prize winner and 3 works for the People’s Choice award winner) to add to our website for sale. We understand that this might take time to build.
This is a really great opportunity to be seen and to have your work exposed. We support and encourage new artists and feel this is another example of how we can promote such an amazing diversity of talented Australian artists such as yourself.
