Jeannie Petyarre is well known for her colourful, flowing paintings of Bush Yam Leaves. Her popularity never wavered and was recently included in a 'Founders' Favourites' exhibition at the Fondation Burkhardt-Felder Arts et Culture museum in Switzerland, and the 2022 'Connection' exhibition at the National Museum of Australia. Her works are sold in major galleries around Australia and she is a highly sought after artist. This painting represents the bush yam which can be found growing around Utopia after good rainfall. These are one of the most important food sources for the Aboriginal people.
