Mimis come out at night and hunt, fish, make love and hold ceremonies, then at dawn they go back to the rocks. Aboriginals respect the wishes of the Mimi Spiits to have complete privacy, and are careful to stay well away from the escarpments at night. In this painting, Paddy has depicted a male Mimi with dilly bag and music sticks; also shown are three birds.
