Madeleine Simson's latest collection is all about finding beauty in the mundane, the discarded and the ordinary, where simple things are given new life under her brush. Through painting everything she was drawn to, from pretty gift bags, to origami cranes, stacks of books and discarded milk-crates, Madeleine realised there was a particular theme her works kept returning to; nearly everything she painted was either paper or plastic... and so a theme was born.
