Jacquelyn Stephens
Jacquelyn Stephens creates large, uplifting paintings that explore the worlds of microscopic sea-life and coastal topography. She is drawn to a re-interpretation of light or ‘bokeh’ of photography, the dark-light of microscopic imagery, and all the image making, documentary world of revealing life’s glow. Here, Jacquelyn creates works that allude to sea creatures, algae, corals, nudibranchs, bioluminescent organisms, the human body and cell life.
Having created artworks for over 25 years, Jacquelyn's art is held in private collections worldwide, featured in media and in home renovation shows, and exhibited in a wealth of solo and group exhibitions.
