Sam Michelle

New Zealand born artist Sam Michelle has lived and worked in Melbourne since 2001, painting full-time from her home studio. Creating still life artworks that build compositions and stories from her ever-growing collection of ceramic and textiles, Sam's works also show the flowers and plant life grown in her ever-expanding cottage garden. She loves visiting local nurseries and florists for inspiration and discovering new varieties of her favourite blooms. Using these florals in her works adds personality and gesture to her styled compositions.
