Stephanie Perrins
Based in Perth and creating on Whadjuk Noongar land, Stephanie Perrins is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose practice is rooted in memory, colour, and emotion. Stephanie’s artistic journey has been part of her story since childhood. Trained as a graphic designer, she has always worked within creative industries, yet it was a life-altering event in 2019 that drew her back to painting, where art became both a process of healing, transforming, growing, and a way to reconnect with herself. The return soon deepened into a formal practice rooted in expressions and nostalgia.
Her work is particularly drawn to life’s soft in-between moments — the warmth of a summer afternoon, the hush of early morning light, the way memory gently reshapes a place or feeling over time. These fragments often become the starting point for her work. With acrylics and oil sticks, Stephanie builds layered, expressive paintings filled with pattern, movement, and depth, all of which inspired by the natural landscapes of Australia — especially Western Australia’s wild beauty — and from a love of travel and connection.
Her practice has been recognized nationally and celebrated within the creative community. She was shortlisted for several national art prizes and has collaborated with multiple commercial partners as part of her broader creative portfolio. Reflecting on the exploration, she quotes, “The creative path hasn’t always been straight — but it’s been honest, and full of lessons in following what feels true.”
