Sydney based artist Antonia Perricone-Mrljak paints works that cycle through ideas of connection, identity and liberation. Through gestural strokes and a repetitive mark-making practice, Antonia's layered, abstract works invite the viewer to connect and reflect on their own experiences.

Working in an abstract expressionist style allow Antonia to paint in away that responds to who she is as a person, and the experience she has had in life. The immediacy that each indelible mark or gesture can have on the canvas is something she deeply loves, and helps her in creating work that is raw, honest and direct.
