Luther Bullam Cora

Luther Cora, known also as Bullam (Black Cockatoo), comes from the Bungarre family of the Mulinjali tribe, belonging to the Yugambeh language group of the Bundjalung nation. (Of the Gold Coast/Tweed area)

Luther is a contemporary aboriginal artist who has painted from a young age, learning from his uncles in far North Queensland, South East Queensland and even from Central Australia NT.

My paintings tell a story of my life, my connection to family, my connection to country in particular the strong connection to SaltWater and the SaltWater life style. My paintings are influence by traditional styles of painting that have been taught to me by Elders and my paintings depict many traditional stories from my country that have been passed down to me." – Luther 'Bullam' Cora.
