Reshmi Sharma
Reshmi Sharma is one half of the Melbourne based SharmaRose, a commercial photography duo who have freelanced commercially over the last 25 years with diverse portfolio that is testament to their compassionate, yet thorough, approach. Their work is a unity of opposites – a derivative of the duo’s vastly different narratives and backgrounds.
With a background in both science and photography, Reshmi's work combines technical precision with a poetic sensibility. She specialises in making forever portraits of all subjects (people, places, spaces, things) by chasing their collaborative eye in combinations of light, texture, and form to draw out and present the unique perspective of the subject to the viewer. Her work is realised in a continual study of colour, textures, details, and tones where completeness is often juxtaposed with fragmentation, wide perspectives with macro details, and portraits embodied with the spectrum of nature’s myriad forms.
