"How it Started" and "Where Our Edges Meet" are deeply inspired by my childhood growing up on the Gold Coast, and the stories my dad would tell of his summer holidays spent exploring the Broadwater and its surrounds. These pieces are a tribute to those memories, honouring the past and embracing the present, as I now create new memories in these same places with my own children. Through these works, I celebrate a sense of place that has always grounded me and continues to offer connection and joy.
