Many Moons Nights- Phase 2

The ‘Many Moons Nights’ series uses lunar shapes, repetition and colour gradients in evoking the passage of time. Connecting with natural rhythms such as paying attention to the moon cycle has become part of my daily activities and influenced this calendar-like grid collection. Each piece acts as a little meditation of sorts, with central shapes woven into grounds with horizon lines. The colour scheme draws from luminous skies at dawn and nightfall. Perhaps these paintings may act as a touchstone to honour time in an often speedy world.
