Based in Melbourne, Stacey Mrmacovski is an Australian artist painting emotive and evocative artworks; each piece reflecting a deep connection to the Australian landscape.
For Stacey, painting has always been a part of life, with a passion that was instilled from and early age – learning oil painting from her grandmother from the age of six. With a lifelong bond with the world of colour, texture, and expression, Stacey is particularly inspired by impressionism and expressionism; resulting in paintings that are a visceral exploration of raw emotion, energy, and memory.
Through her brush, she captures the fusion of reality and imagination, and the ephemeral beauty of fleeting moments into landscapes that feel like they live and breathe. Her technique is bold and tactile, often employing impasto to create richly textured surfaces that invite viewers into a realm where time stands still and emotions come alive.
Stacey’s work is about connection – the connection to the land, to personal histories, and to the viewer's own memories and feelings. Her hope is that her art will guide others to a place of resonance, where they can revisit the landscapes of their own dreams and emotions, whenever they choose.
