Paying attention to the natural Moon cycle has guided my paintings over the last year… These two distill much of what’s emerged-repeated circles/arcs, horizons & sky gradations. An abstraction of feeling time. These become little hand painted touchstones to feel time & notice beauty (in what feels like a speedy world gone mad sometimes).

‘Luna No.2’ abstracts a combination of my favourite elements in my local landscape; lush green hinterland, the transition of sky at dusk and negative space to indicate a New Moon.
