’New Beginnings’ is one of my favourite sizes/dimensions to work on, I think it’s elegant. The title suggests how each new Moon cycle or day offers a renewal. I enjoy how the horizons are steady and grounding while the ascending ‘Moon’ circles offer an underlying movement in the composition. There is something about sky gradations at dusk that are achingly beautiful to me, I played with these tones in this painting.
