Urban Cohorts

Emma Lipscombe creates works that fuze harde-edged geometric and absolute design with painterly texture and considered colour palettes. Having been deeply immersed in design throughout her life via art, interiors, landscape, architecture and design, Emma's interest primarily lies in the combination of shape and colour, and the transformative ritual that comes from simplifying, sampling and re-mixing these elements.

Having worked as a Landscape Architect on projects nationally and internationally, Emma's works combine a practiced eye for order, scale, pattern and shape with an artist's rich understanding of both colour and luminosity.
