Gabrielle Jones creates works exploring the notions of excess, embellishment, adornment and décor through her intuitive energetic process. Her evocative colours, patterns and textures create expressive forms within the layers of paint, she reflects movements and time in her abstract works.
Gabrielle has completed residencies abroad in Spain, Canada and Tahiti, been awarded a NSW Government “Create” Artist Grant and the William Fletcher Trust Grant and has been a finalist in prestigious painting and drawing Art Prizes across Australia. Her work has even been chosen as the cover of the 2023 International edition of the award-winning book, “Abstract Painting”, by Amber Creswell Bell, published by Thames and Hudson, with an eight page in-depth survey.
