Theresa Nowee has painted her father and grandfather's country near Ninmi east of the Canning Stock Route. Centred around Puntujalpa (Jupiter Well) near the community of Kiwirrkurra. She is the daughter of Brandy Tjugurrayi. Theresa comes from a strong painting family, including her father, and her aunt Elizabeth Nyumi, and uncle Patrick Olodoodi and Helicopter Tjungurrayi. Theresa began painting in 2001, developing a distinct painting style.
