With a background in costume for film and television, as well as over a decade experimenting with jewellery and textile design, it was a natural step for Rosetta Santucci to begin her life as a painter.
Rosetta grew up in the Barossa Valley, and surrounded by vineyards and wide spaces developed a deep connection to natural forms connected to life. As an artist she understands that nature and life have a lot to offer. Rosetta builds her images by first creating a rich exhange of colours, texture and patterns, then masking and revealing areas using white pigment. With complex colour overlays and blends, as well as the addition of delicate details and pinpoint drops of paint, Rosetta's works reference items found around nature, from buds, branches, trowels, trees and roads.
