Melbourne based artist Laura Thomas, creates vibrant works, focusing on still life compositions and exploring her position as a consumerist. Originally from the UK, Laura has also studied fine art at university, and written her thesis on art and mass consumerism.
Laura's work explores nostaligic scenes and social moments, exisiting to transport the viewer to uplifting and familiar environments through the use of expressive pattern, colour and still life compositions. She uses bold blocks of colour and collage to define her practice, with layers of paint and collage adding depth and texture.
